Instructor
Hi, I am Professor Jeff Crawford (ProfJeff). I am a professor emeritus of music technology and the recording arts retired from the University of the Pacific Conservatory of Music in Stockton California where I managed and operated the Owen Hall Recording Studios. I have over 45-years of electronic music production and audio recording experience. For the past 38-years, I have been instructing students in sound design, audio recording, music production, radio production, microphone placement, multi-track recording, audio mixing, and digital mastering.
I am a teacher! I’m not a YouTube personality. I’m not a person looking for likes and subscribers. I’m not someone who puts money as the motivation for music creation. I am, however, looking for select and dedicated music students interested in exploring music technology and composition for the purpose of creating meaningful, relevant, and contemporary art.
Currently, I am offering private Zoom instruction in music technology, sound design, and audio  production. All the DAWs, plug-ins and applications seen throughout the ProfJeff website I own and teach. However, before I tell you how to receive an interview as a potential student, first visit my website and view all the content, including the synthesizers I own, the plug-ins I use, the DAWs I work with, the albums I’ve created, the videos I’ve produced, the poetry I write, and the stories I tell, to get a feel for the type of art I choose to create.
Once you have read through a few of the pages within my website, you should understand the type of artist, musician, poet, writer, and producer I choose to be. Primarily, I am interested in working with students who are willing to walk down the road less traveled. From my experience, these students are serious music composers. However, if you are interested in producing movie soundtracks or making beats, I have a vast collection of software plug-in tools for teaching original sound design. This will  give you an individualized sound perspective over the dragon drop, preset library, and MIDI loop users
If you are interested in a half hour Zoom instructor session, contact me at: jcrawford@pacific.edu. All Zoom sessions are interactive, and presented in stereo.

If you are a student enrolled in courses at the University of the Pacific Conservatory of Music, I am also available for free Zoom mentoring sessions.
In addition, I provide masterclasses in music technology and the recording arts as a guest lecturer with an extensive background in audio production
Remember, art is the intellectual and emotional expression of the human condition through our individual skilled experience.
